National Social Security Fund has pledged its sponsorship to the 17th edition of the Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club International tournament that is due from August 10-11 in Kampala.
The National Social Security Fund unveiled its partnership with KAVC this morning at a brief ceremony at National Council of Sports,Lugogo.
“The NSSF KAVC International is carrying the theme ‘Championing better community health and behaviour through sports’ as the key message to everyone that for a better future,our health and behaviour are paramount and that these can be easily derived from participation in sporting activities,” Mofaht Masaba, the chairman of KAVC said. “The NSSF-KAVC International has often made special consideration for showcasing enshrined in the Uganda’s youth by including a demo match for selected primary schools as well as the affirmation that “disability is not inability.”
According to the local organisers invitations have been sent to clubs in Burundi that is both men and women, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, DR Congo, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Madagascar.
“Which shall unveil our sponsorship package and disclose how much we have put in this year tournament,” Victor Karamagi, the NSSF public relations manager disclosed at the launch of the tournament. “NSSF has supported the annual event for the past five years.Co-sponsors too shall be disclosed at a later stage.”
Sports S volleyball club are the men’s defending champions while KCCA are the women’s defending champions.
