KIU Rangers Vs MUK Sparks 6:20PM

KIU Titans Vs Dmark Power 8:30PM

After making two straight trips to the National Basketball League Finals, Dmark Power lost in the first round of the playoffs last season. Power have opened the 2013 season as if determined to make up for last year’s disappointing finish. The five time champions are unbeaten this season and averaging league high 84.75 points.

Power (8-0) play an offensive-heavy game and at a relatively fast pace. With the addition of Paul Odong and the return of Norman Blick, Power are barely unstoppable at least for the moment. Their pressing game that tires opponents not just physically but also mentally has seen them concede an average of 58.8 points.

The KIU Titans meanwhile have been competitive over the years and that has not changed even after losing probably their last season’s most offensive players – Salim Ali and Richard Osano. Much as the university side is still competitive, with just four players from last season still on the team, it will be difficult to put up a performance against Power who can score from anywhere on the floor.

KIU’s ladies side, Rangers play MUK Sparks, a team they beat 62-27 in the first face-off behind a balanced team performance. Rangers (4-2) haven’t lost in the last four and are bound to win their fifth in row since falling to giants KCCA and UCU in the opening couple of games. Sparks (2-5) meanwhile have won a game on court (against Gladiators) and the other off court as they earned a walkover Nabisunsa for not showing up.
