Three weeks ago, unbeaten Wanderers were crowned this year’s National Women’s 50-Over Cricket League champions after their three-wicket win over HopeToun Rangers at Lugogo Oval.

Skipper Kevin Apio had reached her season wish as the coach Sam Walusimbi tutored-ladies had finished unbeaten with 24 points from four round-robin games.

Whereas all is already settled at the top, the matters at the bottom of the five-team log will be put to rest today.

Win less and bottom side Tornado (1) have a chance to advance and finish a place if they beat fourth-placed Rangers (5) in the last limited-overs league’s affair at Jinja SS oval this morning.

“This (poor streak) is not what we expected,” Tornado’s Franklyn Najjumba said. “We have to win Saturday’s (today) tie and restore some pride back to our side.” she added.

Elsewhere, three boys’ South Western Region Pepsi Schools Twenty20 Cricket Week Qualifiers will be played at St. Henry’s Kitovu SS oval in Masaka.

The hosts play Masaka SS before Kimanya play Kako and later, Exodus will finish with Masaka in the twenty20-over matches.
