Yudah Mugalu netted a brace to help his clan, Mpindi win convincingly over Nsenene in the return leg of the round of 16 teams at Nakivubo on Monday. The result meant that Mpindi progresses to the quarterfinals of the Bika Bya Baganda Football tourney following a 2-1 first leg win last week. Cranes winger, Brian Majwega was inspirational in Mpindi’s victory. Mpindi now dates Musu in the first leg of the quaters this Sunday.

In the earlier game of the day, title favourites, Mbogo whipped Nvubu 4-0 to cap a 9-0 aggregate triumph. Joseph Kayiira opened the scoring chart before an Elisa Ssekisambu brace and a late Nelson Senkatuka sealed their place in the last 8 and book a date with Mpologoma this Saturday.

The annual tourney is sponsored by CBS FM, Buganda Kingdom, SWICO, Riham Cola and Kyosimba Onayanya Ceremonial Services, the latter pays for all the day’s goals in the entire tourney.
