Wed 21st Aug: Ngabi Nsamba 0-1 Njovu

A Titus Lubega well converted penalty on the 35th minute mark has been the solitary strike at Nakivubo Stadium to help Ngabi Nsamba win the first leg of the Bika Bya Baganda first leg fixture played on Wednesday evening.

Ngabi Nsamba, who beat record champions, Lugave in the round of 16 looked the better side especially in the first period of the game watched before a lively crowd. The goal margin would have been wider had Joseph Bukenya converted the avalanche of chances that fell his way.

The two sides are set to meet again next Monday in the second leg. Meanwhile, the Bika matches resume on Thursday (22nd August) as defending champions, host Mpeewo in the first leg of the yet another quarterfinal fixture.

The annual tourney is sponsored by CBS FM, Buganda Kingdom, SWICO, Riham Cola and Kyosimba Onayanya Ceremonial Services, the latter pays for all the day’s goals in the entire tourney.
