Nile Special Pool Championships
9:30 a.m – 9:45 pm at Lugogo Indoor Stadium
Over 16 Pool Association of Umpires have started a three day non-residential workshop at Pacify Motel, Wakaliga in Kampala.
The training is to fine tune the umpires ahead of the highly anticipated Nile Special Open Pool Championships at Lugogo this coming Saturday.
“The umpires will stand for long hours, they have to be physically and mentally fit”, says the event organizing coordinator, Kayanja ‘Pipo’ Paul.
They are undergoing body toning and shaping exercises and various aerobics under the leadership of instructor Kim Kirunga.
128 pool players are set to toss it out at Lugogo indoor stadium this Saturday.
The Nile Special Pool Championships is the biggest pool event of the year sponsored by Nile Breweries under the brand Nile Special.
The winner will smile home with a brand new car, a toyota progress and 2 million plus a pool table.
