Lilian Zawedde, Uganda’s sole representative in the three series of Asian Woodball International Championships has spurred her foreign teammate to fifth position in the ladies doubles at 17th Malaysian Open Championships.

The country’s top seed paired with Sin Ah Eng to stroke 66 in the 12 gate contention in the doubles category. Chinese Taipei’s Chen Chin Fan/ Wu Yu Hui topped the charts with 54 strokes.

Zawedde had earlier in the ladies singles finished in 15th position after scoring 123 strokes in the event won by Aniah Hassan from Pahang who registered 109 strokes.

The Ugandan player enroute to Malaysia was smarting from competing at the 13th Singapore Lion City Cup, where she performed beyond expectation finishing in respectable 12th position after hitting 211 strokes in 36 gates.

After Malaysia, Zawedde travels to China for another international showdown.
