Uganda Cranes Coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic dropped three players from the team that left at 3am for Istanbul, Turkey where the team is set to hold a four day training camp.

The trio was left out after Uganda’s 3-1 win over Botswana in an international friendly on Saturday in Gaborone.

Midfielders Said Kyeyune, Joseph Mpande and Joseph Kabagambe are the players that didn’t make the 16 man team that left Nairobi in the wee hours of Monday.

Unlike Kabagambe who made a substitute appearance against Botswana and got involved in the third goal striker Frank Kalanda netted after hitting the post, Kyeyune and Mpande were unused substitutes.

Micho had earlier indicated that he will only consider his travelling contingent for the Senegal clash after the Botswana tie.

17 players including three goal keepers made the team and these are D. Onyango, R. Odongkara, H. Muwonge, D. Iguma, G. Walusimbi, S. Kabugo, R. Kasagga, H. Wasswa, V. Kayizzi, M. Oloya, G. Kizito, N. Wadada, E. Okwi, F. Kalanda, H. Kiiza, B. Majwega and J. Ochaya.

In Turkey, they will be joined by team captain Andrew Mwesigwa, St. George defender Isaac Isinde; US based Henry Kalungi and Mike Azira, midfielders Tonny Mawejje, William Luwagga Kizito and Martin Mutumba and striker Geoffrey Massa who is doubtful for the tie as he is still processing his work permit after transferring from Cyprus side Yenicam to South Africa’s Pretoria University.

Uganda faces Senegal in Marrakesh, Morocco on September 7 in the final group J match that they must win to stay on course for Brazil 2014.
