The Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) Competitions Committee has disqualified the Club Knock-outs defending champions, Scrap Yard Pool Club from this year’s event citing indiscipline.
This followed the chaos that marred one of the scheduled quarterfinal fixture between bitter rivals, Scrap Yard (the Club Knock outs defending Champions) and Takers. The tie was thus abandoned after fights from fans.
“The Competitions Committee had a Joint Meeting with The Disciplinary and PAU Executives and disqualified the Champions Scrapyard due to Indiscipline that was showed between the two Legs“, read a media statement from the Association’s publicity Secretary, Michael Mawanda.
Meanwhile the semi finals draws was conducted at Lumas Club on Monday and the stakes are high as Skin Samona faces Takers. Perfection will play Kyadalu in the other semi-final at Lumas on Saturday.
Meanwhile the Kampala Open Pool Championships, whose winner will bag Ug.Shs 1M will start be held on 21st September 2013. Registration goes for Ug.Shs 10,000. The venue is yet to be confirmed.
The Pilsener League of Kings resumes on the 28th September
