The first edition of the Planet Sports Bar (PSB) Tournament is scheduled to take place today at Planet Sports Bar in Nsambya, Kampala. According to the tourney’s chief organizer Elliot Muschamps, the tournament is aimed at promoting the game from the grass roots around the area and for enthusiastic enjoyments between the players and the fans.
“We want to promote pool game within our area and ensure that players and fans enjoy maximally because we look forward to hold a competitive tournament” Elliot Muschamps told Kawowo Sports in an exclusive interview. “It will begin at 7pm till midnight and there will be a lot of entertainment on giant screens” Elliot added.
16 players (after paying Ush 10,000 registration fee) will be seeded in 4 groups where the top two will play quarters. Thereby, the winners will proceed to semis until the final stage. Ush 100,000 and 50,000 awaits the overall winner and 1st runners-up respectively.
The tournament is sponsored and organized by Planet Sports Bar located at 1st basement in Tirupati Mazima Mall in Nsambya along Kampala-Ggaba road. Registration fee is payable at cashier’s office at Planet Sports Bar, a place where fans catch all the live sports actions on over 15 large screens.
