Top international and local schools will be eyeing the Excel Insurance Independence swimming gala that is slated for October 5 at the Kampala International School of Uganda in Bukoto.
International School of Uganda, Kampala International School of Uganda, Aga Khan, Dolphins swimming club, Seals swimming club, Greenhill Academy, Supra Club will be some of the schools and clubs vying to win the overall crown at this popular Uganda Swimming Federation event.
This year’s edition will be the 12th and is expected to attract close to 200 swimmers who will be swimming in various age categories with a total of 30 swimmings events on show.
Uganda Swimming Federation will be using the event as a warm up for next year’s Cana Zone V swimming championship that Uganda will be hosting for the first time.
At the same time it will be used by national swimmers to improve of their times ahead of international swimming championships elsewhere.
