She Cranes Netball team is yet to be summoned this week by the Uganda Netball Federation for a one month training in preparation for the 6 Nation tour ranking tournament that will be staged at the Toa Payoh Sports Hall, Singapore.

Representing Oceania and the Pacific in this 6 Nation’s netball global contest will be the 2008 champions, Paupa New Guinea, 2012 European debutants Republic of Ireland, Asia’s Sri Lanka, United States of America, Singapore (Hosts) and Uganda from Africa. USA and Uganda are the only two nations, new to the fold this year since the inaugural event in 2006.

Currently without a world ranking due to lack of international exposure, this will be another opportunity for the She Cranes to appear on the world list after a failed attempt in Malawi. Uganda has to register a good number of victories to secure a slot. Despite facing financial constraints in the recent African Championships that made their approximately 4000km journey to Malawi days longer, UNF’s hopes are still high that more support from well wishers, companies, members of parliament and the President’s office will come their way.
