Egypt Football Association (EFA) boss Gamal Allam has confirmed they won’t sack Pharaohs Coach Bob Bradley after a humiliating 6-1 defeat at the hands of Ghana in the 2014 World Cup play off.

This calms widespread reports that the American was facing the sack after a huge in defeat that left Egypt with little or no hope of reaching the finals of the world’s biggest soccer event for the first time since Italia 90.

BBC Sport reports that sacking Bradley would cost EFA $ 366,000 (Ugx 936,960,000) in compensation. “It is not logical to sack him [Bradley] and pay a big fine for the last match of his contract,” said Allam. However, Allam says that Bradley is unlikely to be in the dugout as Pharaohs aim to overturn a 6-1 defeat in the return leg on November 19 for security reasons as angry fans are likely not to allow that happen. His assistant Diaa El Sayed is more likely to be in charge on the day.
