Uganda Cranes tactician Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic is impressed with the performance of Ugandan strikers Hamis ‘Diego’ Kiiza and Dan Sserunkuma for their respective clubs in the recent weeks.

Kiiza who plies his trade with Tanzanian giants Yanga SC has netted five goals in five games this season including a brace against Simba SC in the Dar es Salaam on Sunday.

“It was fantastic seeing Kiiza scoring two goals in the biggest derby in East Africa in front of 60,000 fans at National Stadium, Dar es Salaam”, Micho told Kawowo Sports.

“That’s good news from the region as we try to monitor all our players’ performances”, he added.

The Serbian who replaced sacked Bobby Williamson in May t the helm of Cranes was also full of praise for Gor Mahia striker Daniel ‘Mzee’ Sserunkuma.

“He is equally doing well at Gor Mahia and he is leading the charge for his side as they strive to win the Kenyan Premier League and his goals are also one of the reasons the side reached the Go TV Shield Cup,” said Micho.

Sserunkuma has scored seven goals in his previous seven appearances for K’Ogalo in the league and Go TV Shield Cup.

Micho also confirmed that the Cranes technical team is monitoring players in the Diaspora that have Ugandan roots including Crystal Palace striker Ibra Ssekajja ahead of the 2015 Africa Nations Cup qualifiers that kicks off in September 2014.
