“According to the entries made, there are three pools for either gender and 2 teams of Richard Tamale/Gadafi Ssali and Julius Schlagenhauf/ Bonnie Obote in the special catergory”, Mohfat Masaba told Kawowo Shortly after the draws where made at the MTN Lugogo Indoor Arena on Thursday night.

Seasoned top guns Hannington Nsubuga/ Isaac Omedo, D.Muhwezi/John Bosco Opendi and Johnson Kawenyera/ Jacob Olila are pitted together in Pool B while favorites, top seeds Dickens Otim/ Ambrose Okello are in Pool A alongside Emmauel Rugaba/Michael Ahabwe, Stephanie Oguti/Mustafa Mulondo/ Pierre Kamugasha and Peter Tonny Lakony.

In Pool C  Emmanuel Kato/ Nicolas Dheyongera will face off the Matthew Mwenyi/ Amon Ainebyona, Emma Elanyu/John Mark Okurut and Ronald Kitosi/James Kwengura   pairs.

“Be rest assured of a surprise from pool C especially from upcoming teams such as that of Elanyu/Okurut, Uganda’s Under 21 National Side”, Masaba predicts

The women too have very good draws but Pool B lurks out as the “zone of death” with three prime pairs of Busingye/Alupo the previous event winners alongside Pajije/Adeke and Tabitha/Nakamanya.

However Agaba/Nammanda & Okecho/Nuwagaba in Pool C as well as Omuriwe/Nambasa in Pool A will too flourish the day’s hassle for the polished medals.
National coach, Sam Meya will be present to make final selection to the Uganda team as the 16th/17th November Castle Lite event draws closer.

 Format of Play:
The three pools will qualify eight teams per gender to the quarterfinal stage as follows:
1st   in Pool A versus 2nd in Pool C, 2nd in Pool B versus the best 3rd placed team at pool level,1st in Pool B versus the next best 3rd placed team at pool level and the 2nd in Pool A versus 1st in Pool C.

The winners of the first two quarter games will face off at semifinal just as the winners of the 3rd & 4th quarter matches before venturing into grand finale.
