MTN Uganda, has renewed its three year contract with Uganda Golf Club to maintain the Mugs tournament also maintaining the par 72 golf course together with handing over golf gear and equipment. 

The equipment was handed over to the Uganda Golf Club captain Charles Katarikawe, by the MTN’s Chief Executive Officer Mazen Mroue at the official tee off of the MTN Business Golf Day tournament this morning at the par 72 Kitante golf course.

The equipment includes a machine that will be used by the caddies on the range to pick up balls from the practising players and also golf gear to prevent the caddies getting hit by balls on their bodies which has affected several caddies on the course.

The gear includes chest pads, helmets and shin gads. The promotions and sponsorship manager of the giant mobile phone network Aggrey Kagonyera, stressed the sponsorship is for three year’s,  but was non-committal on how much the sponsorship was worth however he said the Monthly mugs where still on and they will continue to refurbish the respective tee boxes on the 18 hole course.
