Eight players start their quest to be crowned as overall champion of the The Ladder’s Super 8 tennis tournament that swings into action today at the Center Court Sports Club, Lugogo.
Four players are pooled in two groups that is A and B with the players battling each other in a round robin format with the top two of each group going making it to the last four.
Group A has last year’s winner Henry Muyanja other players in the group are James Bayego, Dusko Lekic and Victor Drile while group B has Moses Otiti, Andrew Oryada, Louis Tayebwa and Sam Nakabaale.
The winner of the tournament walks away with 600,000 while the finalist get 350,000 while semi-finalists get 150,000.
The respective players have been playing for four months and have played a total of 100 matches at Kampala Club and Center Court Tennis Club, Lugogo.
