Ndejje University has successfully retained both the woodball and athletics crowns at the ongoing 15th edition of the Inter University Games Athletics Championships after garnering 314 points at the two -day athletics’ competition hosted at Uganda Christian University, Mukono.
To win the the championships for the last three editions, Ndejje women side spurred the team to top the overall rankings after bagging 160 points and the men scooping 154 points.
In terms of medals Ndejje lifted the crown with 13 gold medals followed by KU in second position with 9 gold and hosts UCU with six gold medals respectively.
However going by points scoring system, KU collected total of 266 points, UCU 162, MUK 121, Gulu 82, KIU 33, Nkumba 29 Bugema 26, Kabale 18, Kyambogo 15, Busitema 9, MUBS 6 and Bishop Stuart 1 point respectively.
The games end on Friday with Volleyball, Netball, Basketball, handball and chess finals.

Kyambadde Fred, Muwonge Amos and Sempagala Nelson scored for UCU in normal time while Sekajugo Vian, Musamali Paul and Sekayombya Andy were on target for Kampala University.
