The New Year started off well for Good Life golf players from the Uganda Golf Club as they retained their trophy with a win over Entebbe club on Saturday at the par 71 Entebbe Club in Entebbe.
Good Life retained their overall crown with a solid 10.5 points over Entebbe’s 9.5 to sweep the annual social golf tournament that is held between the two clubs.
The one day event attracted a total of 109 players with Entebbe’s Mike Odur, playing off handicap 8 claiming the overall winner’s crown with 68 nett while Godfrey Nkambwe was runner-up with 69 nett.
Good Life last year beat Entebbe Club to win this social event for the first time at Palm Valley Golf and Country Club at Kakungulu, Estate off Entebbe Road.
Dennis Anguyo and Herman Mutawe, claimed the overall prize for the professionals winning the 3 million that was staked by Dr Kato Ssebale and Edward Kabuchu.
Herbert Rwambibazi and Ssubi Kiwanukwa from Uganda Golf Club and Entebbe Club, stated that the event will be held annual on a hone and away basis, but on neutral turf.
