Congo Brazzaville 1 – 0 Ethiopia

AC Leopards striker, Rudy Bhebey Ndey struck 12 minutes to full time to hand Congo Brazzaville that crucial 1-0 victory over CECAFA representatives, Ethiopia, who lose out their second game running and thus bow out of the championships.

Despite the victory which elevates Congo to third position with 3 points coming into the last group games next week.

Congo plays the top placed Libya while Ghana plays the already eliminated Walya Antelopes.

In the earlier group game played at Free state Stadium, Mohammed Yahaya put Ghana in a 6th minute lead before Faisel Saleh restored parity for the Mediterranean Knights with a well struck 70th strike.

CHAN 2014 fixtures resume on Saturday with the first game involving Democratic of Congo taking on Gabon before another CECAFA region representative Burundi takes on Mauritania in group D fixtures.

South African Benard Parker leads the CHAN 2014 goal scoring charts with 3 goals followed by Uganda’s youngster, Yunus Ssentamu with 2 and a host of other players follow suit.
