Hajjati Fatia Kitaka, the head coach of National Insurance Cooperation (NIC) netball team threatens to re-thump Police netball team in the second round of the national league game scheduled this weekend at Namboole.
The soft speaking lady told Kawowo Sports in a telephone interview that, “My team is injury free and set to re-beat them”. NIC beat police with difference of over 20 goals in 1st round.
”They don’t know our skills and tricks yet, so we are only waiting for the begging whistle”. Hajjati Fatia added.
However, her counterpart at Police, Mutete Wilberforce, cum manager, responded that his team should not be written off this time round sighting that “We marked our weakness in the first game we lost to them (NIC) and worked on them accordingly”. Wilberforce said.
NIC leads the table with 4points while Police and Uganda Christian University (UCU) are tied on points and all in second position. Blue star and Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) have not yet secured any single points.
Other games to be played on the day will see, KCCA up against UCU at 10am before the former takes on NIC at 3pm. Prisons will also take on UCU at 3am.
In the Men’s category, NIC are the current table leaders with 20points, Police with 18points are second, Prisons (3rd) with 14 while KCCA are 4th with 10 points.
Blue stars are 5th with 8 points while Kampala University and Mbarara are 6th and 7th with 4 and 0 points respectively
Then after, action will return on Wednesday, 5th– Feburary-2014 with two games on card; KCCA will be up against Police at 4am before NIC take on Prisons at same Venue.
