Season 4 of the Friday Night Lights (FNL), was launched yesterday at Bugolobi Brand House, where sponsors Castle Lite, KCB Bank Uganda, DStv and Urban Tv were unveiled.
The tournament rolls off on 7th february, 2014 at the YMCA Basketball Courts in Wandegeya, scheduled to last 9 weeks. It will involve entertainment, artist performances and basketball competitions worth instant cash prizes, flat screen televisions and lots more.
According to the Head of Marketing Urban TV Keith Kuyoh, games will be broadcast live on Vision Group’s English television station Urban TV every Friday.
“For this season, we shall be taking it live to the society, on Urban TV, and we invite all our fans, viewers to watch the games either on TV or be part of the audience at YMCA,” said Keith.
This years edition has been revamped with the addition of two new exciting teams, Team Duxx represented by the high flying Stephen Mwesigye a.k.a Duxx and Team Sudi represented by 3 point gunning Tanzanian Sudi Ulanga.
Team Amoding, Team Malinga (2013 Champions),Team Ikong, Team KBOB, Team Blick, Team Kasewu, Team Legends and Team Enabu return in the battle for supremacy.
This off season basketball event has been organised to bring fans closer to their basketball stars.
