FSL Results Match Day 16 (Selected Result)
URA 2 – 0 Masaka L.C

Midfielder, Owen Kasule’s rich goal scoring for Uganda Revenue Authority continued as he registered brace over the struggling Masaka Local Council during opening round of the FUFA super league action at the Mehta Stadium in Lugazi on Friday.

The victory elevates URA from 5th to 2nd on the 16 team log with 29 points. Table leaders, Vipers needed a Ceaser Okhuti goal to extend their lead by 3 points (on 32 points).

Okhuti netted the lone strike of the game played at Kitende S.S Stadium to condemn Proline to their 9 defeat of the season.

At Nakivubo Stadium, Soana football club welcomed back prodigal son, Dan Wagaluka (from AFC Leopards) in brilliant fashion as the pacy winger out sprinted SC Villa’s back line to lay a pin point cross that Uganda Cranes striker, Francis Olaki welcomed with open hands as he easily tapped in a minute to the half time recess.

Perhaps, SC Villa, playing big league recruit, Arthur Mukisa on his debut in the midfield alongside skipper, Ayub Kisaliita, reorganized their house as they returned for the final 45 minutes with urgency and their efforts were rewarded 14 minutes to full time when Ronald Muganga notched that deserved equalizing goal that pushes them on 24 points though they remain glued in the 7th position.

At the Phillip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, 10 man Entebbe Football Club played like gallant men at home as they held Jinja based Bul Bidco to a 1 all draw. Geofrey Serubogo opened the floodgates before Bul’s skipper, Crespo Asiku, himself a victim of an avalache of missed opportunities got his team’s equalizer off a well converted penalty.

Referee Brian Nsubuga never hesitated to send off Entebbe’s Siraje Sentamu for an early shower after a malicious tackle on the tricky URA loanee, Martin Kivumbi.

“My boys have been wasteful today and i believe, we have to make quick changes and work on the players’ mentaity well ahead of future matches”, Bul Bidco’s coach, Kefa Kisala, who was visibly disappointed by the draw told Kawowo Sports after the game.

Up country, Kira Young was held to a non scoring draw by the bottom placed CRO at the CRO Stadium while at the Bombo military Stadium, home side Simba played to a scoreless draw with injury hit Kawempe based Bright Stars.

Action of the sponsor-less legeaue resumes next Tuesday with 2 fixtures as Express Football Club will host Police at Wankulukuku while Proline will play host to Kira Young at Lugogo.
