Uganda Cranes midfielder Geoffrey ‘Baba’ Kizito has been praised by Gor Mahia FC coach Bobby Williamson following his gallant performance against Nairobi City Stars in the club’s 2014 league opener on Thursday.

Kizito who joined the reigning Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions in December didn’t only put up a decent show in the centre of the pack but also got on the score sheet in the 67th minute with a wonderful strike.

“That was a good performance from Kizito. He is very experienced and works really hard,” Futaa.com quotes Williamson in his post match interview.

The ex-Cranes coach who offered Kizito his national team debut against Zambia in the 2013 Africa Nations Cup qualifying campaign further stated that he knows what ‘Baba’ is capable of and promised Gor Mahia faithful that the dreadlocked midfielder will be vital in the club’s season.

“I have worked with him previously at Uganda Cranes and I therefore know what he’s capable of. He will be an important player for us this season,” he added.

Kizito is ex-SC Villa and Express FC player and featured for Vietnam side Sai Gon FC before joining the Kenyan giants.
