Amateur golfers will be chasing for glittering mugs on Saturday as the second MTN monthly mug will tee off at the par 72 Kitante golf course in the Mug of February tournament.
Close to 150 golfers are expected to take part in the event that is held at the end of the month with Frank Ngabo, the overall winner of the last Mug going for a double.
It will be perfect opportunity for some golfers who have major tournaments next month that include the Entebbe Ladies Open and the Kenya Open and will be using them as practice for them.
Uganda Golf Club’s Joseph Mawejje and Phillip Kasozi, are both expected to take part in an event they will use as practice ahead of next month’s Barclays Kenya Open while Flavia Namakula, will be sharpening her strokes together with Gloria Mbaguta ahead of next month’s Castle Lite Entebbe Ladies Open.
