Kasese based artisan golfer, Happy Robert, playing off handcapp 0, won his consective venus golf tournament at the dry undulating par 70 Toro golf course in Fort portal on Saturday.
The Kilembe golf star, also a national team member returned amazing scores to the club house after 18 holes’ action of the day long action bankrolled by a $ 3000 sponsorship courtesy of East Africa’s leading tea brokers, Venus.
“Am happy to win once again in Fort portal.” “This dry course has always played to my advantage.” “I thank my sponsor (Peter Robson), and my fellow players”, an estatic Robert remarked at the Toro 19th hole during the prize giving ceremony.
Happy’s victory is the second at the 9 hole Toro golf course. 56 players particiate in the event where Uganda Golf Union’s Peace Kabasweka, handcap 15, was the best lady player[81 nett].
Toro club also executed a ground breaking ceremony of the construction of a new club house shower room and kitchen renovation.
