Steven Bogere has had a change of mind and opted to stay at Sports Club Villa as coach, dropping his initial idea of joining Kiira Young football club.

In a Friday meeting held before journalists at Villa Park, Bogere expressed his commitment at the team and ended the rumor of leaving the Nsambya based team.

“Am now settled here and going nowhere.” The former Cranes midfielder said.

“It’s true, I had admitted to work with Kiira (Young FC) but on condition that my bosses from Villa would first consent to it.” “Villa management did not allow me to leave them and am absolutely contented with their decision” Bogere, a former Villa player added.

It was further revealed in the meeting that the technician has a four year contract with Villa that ends in 2017.

The former Proline manager coached SC Victoria University before joining Villa. He won five League titles with SC Villa and one Uganda Cup.

Bogere also won three regional CECAFA Senior Challenge Cups with Uganda Cranes and also, reached the finals of the Abiola Cup. He later left Villa for Tobacco fc in 1991.

Meanwhile, Villa hosts Sseeta United on Tuesday next week in the round of 16, in the Uganda Cup.
