“I love my job as a life saver but since I know swimming, I decided to give rowing a try at the neighboring Kisubi beach”, he says.

With rowing experience of just 1 week, Guweddeko surprised many including himself as he won a bronze medal in the recently concluded East and Central rowing championships’ male double scull event. (main event was won by Maroons rowing club from Luzira).

“It takes courage, confidence and high energy to row on the waters”, Guweddeko, who combined with Faruku Baruku to take silver told Kawowo Sports.
