Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) midfielder Ali Feni left the Lugazi Mehta stadium a delight man after he scored a massive five goals in his side’s 12 – 0 demolition of Hope Doves in the 2014 Uganda Cup fixture played on Tuesday.
Strikers, Erisa Sekisambu and James Kasibante notched a brace apiece before Frank Kalanda, Augustine Nsumba and Saidi Kyeyune got a goal each.
The other games played saw Vipers win 2-0 against Kireka thanks to goals by Uganda Cranes striker, Yunus Sentamu and midfielder Joseph Mpande in Bweyogerere.
BUL FC edged Mutundwe Lions 1-0 at Kakindu stadium in Jinja. Masene Joshua’s first half headed goal was difference in the match.
SC Villa defeated Seeta 1-0. Ronald Muganga netted the only goal of the game to extend his rich goal scoring form of late. The fixture between Express FC and Hope Soana aborted with the score at 1-1 in the final stages of the game.
The cup’s defending champions, Sports Club Victoria University started on a high note last week, winning 0 – 5 away in Amuria. Winger cum striker, Dan Nsubuga rediscovered his goal scoring touch that had eluded him for long with a strike that followed Brian Torach’s hat trick and a rare skipper Martin Mpuuga goal.
The Winner of the Uganda Cup represents the country in the CAF Confederations Cup.
Meanwhile the FUFA super league resumes this Friday with 5 fixtures at different Stadia.
