One hundred and 80 amateur golfers will be vying for assorted prizes tomorrow morning at the Sure/NTV Lady Captain’s Prize at the par 72 Kitante golf course.
The tournament is held every year by the Ladies Captain at the Uganda Golf Club, during her reign in office this year’s will be the last one for out-going captain Aggie Konde Asiimwe, who was recently replaced by last year’s winner of this event Dr Kathy Kabenge.
The tournament has been spiced up with a caddies tournament that was held on Monday and won by Farouk Issa and Hadijah Nampijja this morning 20 professionals are playing with a kitty of sh5m.
Notable golfers that will be taking part include national golf players Abbey Bagalana, new entrant Becca Mwanja, golfer of the year Willy Deus Kitata, lady golfer of the year Flavia Namakula, Gloria Mbaguta, Candy Mpanga, Anne Kiconco, Lillian Anguparu, Brenda Ngabo.
The tournament is, jointly sponsored by NTV, Aqua Sipi, ICEA and Serena Hotel.
