Ex-Ggaba United and Vipers SC goalie Hamza Muwonge says that he is fully settled at Thika United and enjoying his experience in the Kenya Premier League.
The Uganda Cranes goalie who joined Thika United early in January on a one year contract has been in scintillating form and hopes his performance can earn him another call up with the national team.
“Life is superb at Thika,” Muwonge told Futaa.com. “I am enjoying my stay here and want to use the Kenyan league exposure to be called back to the national team as that was my ambition as to why I grabbed this chance,” Muwonge added.
Muwonge whose side earned a point after drawing goal less with reigning champions Gor Mahia FC on Wednesday was hailed for saving a penalty from Ugandan compatriot Daniel Sserunkuma and he revealed that he knew exactly where Sserunkuma was going o place the ball.
“I have keenly been following Sserunkuma’s penalty taking skills and against Esperance, he took it the ball on the right hand side of the top of the net, the same happened against US Bitam and having played with him in the national team, I know that he likes placing the ball on the right hand side of the post,” Muwonge said.
