1st Nakawa Schools’ Woodball Championships:

St Kizito Primary school in Bugolobi and Kyambogo College dominated the 1st Nakawa Schools’ woodball championships on Saturday with a near sweep of most accolades by the close of business of the day long event met for primary and secondary schools within Nakawa Division in  Kampala District.

St Kizito’s Ritah Agwang struck 33 strokes to topple her counter parts in the primary girls’ event. Jovan Kandaruk from the same school returned 40 strokes to take the boys’ category.

Barbara Nambuya from Kyambogo college scored 32 strokes to take the girls’ secondary event while Rogers Andura (from the same school) took the boys’ event with 31 strokes.

This was the second event that Kyambogo college was doing well in the secondary woodball category after the 5th Kyambogo Open a week earlier.

The event was exclusively organized by Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) and proudly sponsored by CPA Uganda.

Focus will now shift to St. Mark’s College Namagooma for the 1st Nsangi Schools Open Woodball Championship where all schools, universities and clubs are expected to participate.

2. Ssegawa Kelly – Mother well Junior School – 41strokes

3. Ainebyoona Innocent – Murchison Bay Primary School -41 strokes

Secondary Schools:

Girls:

1. Nambuya Barbara – Kyambogo College School-  32 strokes

2. Nakabambwe Jackline- Progressive S.S Kitintale – 37 strokes

3. Namugabi Shamirah – Luzira S.S – 39 strokes

Boys:

1. Andrua Rogers – Kyambogo College School – 31 strokes

2. Mubboti Samuel – Kyambogo  College School – 34 strokes

3. Nakhaima Cetrac – Kyambogo  College School – 34 strokes
