The 1st Nsangi Schools Open Woodball Championship was successfully conducted and the overall organization of the entire event spells success of the sport that is steadily picking up momentum.

Four schools, Trinity College Nabbingo, Hana Mixed School – Nsangi, Buddo Secondary School and St. Mark’s College Namagoma took part.

The event was organised by Uganda Woodball Federation and Wakiso Secondary School Headteachers Association (WAKISSHA).

The objectives of this championship were:

     i.        Spread Woodball to schools in Nsangi Zone – Wakiso District

    ii.        Get schools to represent Nsangi Zone at the 5th ICPAU Juniors Woodball Championship slated for June 14, 2014 at Hana Mixed School – Nsangi

   iii.        Post Primary Woodball qualifier for Nsangi Zone. Only the top three teams in each category will compete at the ICPAU organised event on June 14.

 The 1st Luweero Schools Open Woodball Championship on Friday, March 28, at Luweero Boys is next and will be followed by a Woodball clinic for games’ teachers from schools around Matugga.

The event will be hosted by Kyadondo S.S.S Matugga on Saturday, March 29, 2014.
