One million Uganda shillings has been staked by a member of the tennis fraternity for a tennis challenge between Uganda’s top tennis player Duncan Mugabe and seed two in the country David Oringa in what is expected to be a mouth-watering tussle which is Round II at Center Court Lugogo club.
“I am gonna settle this once and for all,” Mugabe stated. “If am well motivated Oringa cannot beat me.” It will be the second time that this tennis rivals face-off in a challenge that has raised alot of debate in the tennis circles whether Mugabe is way past his best recently the two had a similar challenge in the World Tennis Day tournament with Oringa beating Mugabe for the first time 6-4,7-6(7-5).
“I am not scared anymore am a different player and am ready for this challenge again,” Oringa shot back. “I let my actions speak louder than words and am ready to go.”
Both players are upbeat for this encounter, they believe it will give them vital preparation ahead of the Uganda Open that is due soon. These players are the best in Uganda at the moment, so sports fans shall be treated to a clash of the titans of Ugandan tennis. Entrance is free.
