Entebbe and Proline football clubs are two sides that are desperately gravitating against a fast approaching monster – being relegated to the FUFA big league.

With both teams having played 24 games apiece, Entebbe currently occupies lies in the 13th position with 19 points, just one better above Proline (18).

With Proline’s inspirational player in Henry Lopidia out injured, burley forward, Haidary Mubiru (formerly of Bulemezi Ssaza and Luwero United) will lead the quest for Proline’s goals alongside Andrew Kidega, scorer against Masaka L.C in the team’s 1 all draw last Friday.

The duo will however face an experienced Entebbe backline manned by William Kalembe and former Vipers’ defender Muhammed Zziwa. Proline’s left full back will come face to face with his elder brother, Sunday Mukiibi, the Entebbe Skipper.

Paddy Muhumuza and the fit again Joseph Mandela will command Proline’s midfield as come face to face with the ever busy Geofrey Sserubogo,Nana as strikers Abraham Ndugwa, Moses Ssekasana and the veteran Yusuf Kinene seek Entebbe’s goals.

KCC Vs Police:

KCC is fresh from that 1 – 5 away Uganda Cup victory to Ntungamo’s regional side, Ntoda. The home side will miss left footed winger, Brian Majwega, who is out suspended after a training session brawl with assistant coach, Abdullah Mubiru.

The league’s defending champions will still miss midfielder Tom Matisko, who is recovering from an ankle injury while defender Rogers Aloro injured his knee in a domestic non –club engagement on Sunday at Bweyogerere.

But in Herman Wasswa, hattrick hero at Ntoda, William Wadri, Michael Birungi and the fresh again league top scorer, KCC has a potent attacking force to face Police who lost their last fixture at Bombo against Simba football club.

Police’s Benson Ociti and Andrew Basooma will lead the cops’ search for goals as the ever improving left full back Rogers Kalyango marshals the backline alongside the hard tackling Yassin Mubiru and team captain Francis Kawooya.

Masaka L.C Vs Sports Club Victoria University:

This is a battle of two teams with completely different aspirations. Victoria University (on 42 points) will play targeting the top spot with an advantage the leaders (Vipers on 45 points are not in action).

Masaka L.C on the contrast lies in the relegation redline. Domestic woes within the club that led to the untimely resignation for three of the team’s officials have not done the club any better.

Club secretary, Paddy Ssenkungu, with treasurer (Richard Kimera) and Hakim Matovu (welfare manager) all threw in the towel on the eve of the match with the 3rd placed side, citing administrative misunderstandings within the club.

“We can not continue to work under such conditions. We have left for good”, Ssenkungu spoke to Kawowo Sports on Monday.

On form Sports Club Victoria striker, Noah Ssemakula is expected to make a return to the team after sitting out the 5 – 0 home win over Mbale based side, CRO with a slight knock. Isaac Muleme is another player expected to return to the team but midfielder, Yassar Mugerwa, who limped out the CRO tie and Dan Nsubuga will be subjected to late fitness tests.

Bright Stars Vs URA:

Bright Stars will negotiate the game against URA without Rama Yakoub, red carded in the team’s last game against Bul Bidco in Jinja (game ended goalless).

URA, on 42 points, just like Victoria University is targeting maximum points for a chance to top the log. A clear out and out victory for the tax collectors, and a false result for Victoria against a usually an unpredictable Masaka side will see them top the log.

Soana Vs Simba:

Soana’s last game at Kavumba recreational was that bitter 0 – 1 loss against Jinja based Bul f.c. Soana once again plays army side, Simba at their Wakiso based home fotress.

Patrick Gonahasa, scorer of Simba against Police at Bombo last Friday will hope to extend his goal scoring form against a usually organized Soana backline.

Soana’s lead goal scorer, Francis Olaki (on 12 goals) will lead the line alongside the towering veteran Peter ‘Crouch’ Ssenyonjo as Siraje Turyamureba and Dan Walugaluka command either wings.

Soana is 7th with 40 points while Simba is in the 11th place, having registered 25 points off 23 games. Simba will still miss their head coach, Fred Kajoba who is serving the 5 match suspension from the league board for his involvement in the abandoned game against Express a month ago.

Enjoy the games.
