Holy Saturday:
Baza Holdings Vs The Saints
At Villa Park, Nsambya.
Current Rwenzori group FUFA big league leaders will on Holy Saturday host 3rd placed The Saints football club in a top of the table clash to take place at Villa Park Stadium in Nsambya, Kampala.
The fact that the Big league takes a final bend towards the climax with each of the sides remaining with 3 fixtures to play, makes this fixture even more daring.
Baza Holdings leads the 16 team log with 38 points after 20 games while The Saints have played the same number of games but on 27 points.
Prepared souls:
Either team members of the two sides is determined to ‘die a little ’ for his side bearing in mind the coveted prize at stake – getting promoted to the elite league – FUFA super league.
Whereas The Saints boast of an experienced goal keeper in Ramathan Male, Baza Holdings’ Godfrey Wakabu has never been in question as regards experience and command.
The backline is no different. Baza Holdings has former Express defender, Julius Isabirye, Iddi Ssebalata, and Johnson Akileng whose positional awareness is equally matches with The Saints’ Julius Madepe, Robert Kasolo , Skipper Godfrey Bwiire and Brian Mukasa.
The Saints’ midfield department is a blend of flair, youth and experience. Godfrey Bunni could be castigated for his indecisiveness but his final ball and ball protection technique has never been in question.
Most probably, what he misses could be covered up by the pace of Fraouk Kawooya and Emma Balyjusa’s untiring legs.
Baza Holdings themselves will be welcoming back Joseph Ssemanda from injury while Moses Lukyamuzi is subject to a late fitness test.
Tactics:
The team with the better tactics to be employed and followed will most probably carry the day.
The two technical benches differ a lot , a lot and a lot in mentality, level of preparedness and unquestionably the experience.
Frank ‘Video’ Anyau, head coach at Baza Holdings has seen it all in life. 2 years ago, he helped Entebbe f.c get promoted and now, he has another ‘army of commandos’ to lead.
Whereas Anyau entertains the ‘route one’ style of football to pick a positive result, The Saints’ Mark Twinamatisko is a complete reciprocal, he cherishes the fluid style of football.
Either teams may vary formations of play from the traditional 4- 4- 2, 4-3-3, 3-5-2 to the more defensive 5-3-1-1.
On their best days, The Saints’ left footed Vianney Ssekajugo, Alex Kitata and Rashid Kiyini can punish the opposition backline with any style of goal.
While former Express striker, Umaru Ngobi, diminutive winger Swaibu Kakwaya, Charles Ssemanda and the dreadlocked Eric Kabanda for Baza Holdings all need no introduction as regards what sort of havoc and damage they can inflict on the opposition.
