Saturday Fixture:

Proline Vs CRO – Wankulukuku Stadium.

The 2013/14 FUFA super league has reached the final bend towards the climax. No body is sure who will clinch the title and which team will get the drop. Already, the race for the coveted championship is as unpredictable.

All the top 6 teams, KCC, SC Victoria University (both at 49 points), Uganda Revenue Authority (URA)  and Vipers closely follow with 46 apiece  and even the 5th placed Soana (43 points) and Kira Young (41 stand an outside chance of winning the title).

Relegation Monster:

With the bottom placed 2 sides CRO and Proline football clubs having a date on Saturday at Wankulukuku Stadium, a closer glimpse at the fight against being relegated even casts a real struggle for close to 4 teams.

Bottom side, CRO (15), Proline (18), Masaka L.C (19), Entebbe (23)  are in a real battle against the monster that will claim the bottom 3 sides.

Infact, even Express and Simba (both have 26 points) are not any safe!

The remaining games:

Each of the teams have a chance to redeem themeselves and survive the relegation axe but the password is simple –- win the remaining matches.

Proline:

Proline starts the quest today against CRO. They then face KCC in the derby at Lugogo on Tuesday before facing Jinja side, Bul F.C at the Lugogo on Sunday 4th May.

As the league closes business on the last day on May 6th, Proline has a tricky away tie against Simba at the Military Stadium in Bombo.

Entebbe F.C

The Alex Gitta coached side travels to Kavumba with a date against Police next Friday, before making the short trip to Nakivubo stadium to face Bright Stars the following Tuesday.

Friday (2nd May) will see Entebbe host Soana before another derby as they face Express at Wankulukuku on the last day of the season.

CRO:

Unless they win their games in the remaining fixtures, the Mbale district based side is headed for the FUFA big league next year.

They open up the quest against Proline on Saturday at Wankulukuku Stadium.

They will host two back to back fixtures against league giants, first against URA, one side desperately looking for the much needed points on Tuesday, April 25th 2014 and on Friday against Villa.

CRO won the first leg against SC Villa in Kampala in October 2013. CRO will again travel to Simba before a home date against Soana on the last day of the league.

Masaka L.C:

Like CRO, the best chances for Masaka’s survival lie in the ability to win her remaining fixtures. Masaka L.C has a game in hand (against Police after the crowd abandoned the game with Masaka leading 1 – 0). They travel to Wankulukuku this Tuesday to face Express before hosting Bright Stars the coming Friday.

The last fixture of the season for the countryside team will be that game against Vipers at Buikwe Stadium.
