Umar “The Pain” Semata wants to deliver the Pain to Egyptian World Kick-Boxing Federation champion Abdallah Hussein, when the two kick-boxers tussle out for the same belt on April 24 at Natete Shopping Center.
“I haven’t traveled all the way from Asia to lose and I am here to deliver Pain to Hussein come that day when the two of us fight,” the Thailand based Semata said at the fights official launch last week at Hotel Sojovalo.
“I have watched him fight and I saw he beat our own Ronald Mugula, but that won’t happen here again and in front of my home fans.”
Semata last year claimed the vacant World Boxing Council International Muay Thai belt at Kyadondo rugby club after beating Australian Rhys Karakyriacos. He will be seeking to claim another belt ahead of his first defense of his title.
“We had to go for this title before he goes for his first defense of the WBC belt later this year,” Alice Namatovu, of Lash Media the promoters of this fight said at the official launch. “We are looking at this fight as a perfect way to tune him up ahead of his defense.”
Parambot Breweries, brewers of Moonberg Lager have sunk $20,000(sh49.8m) into the international fight others that have committed their partnership with Lash Media, Abtex Promotions include Hotel Sojovalo and GND Events.
The world title fight is sanctioned by Uganda Kick Boxing Federation and the style of fighting will be the K-1 style format.
The fight will be in the 69.5 kilogramms weight division.
