Sun, 27th April 2014
Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) is set to host the 2nd beach woodball circuit of the year this Sunday at the Sandy confines of Sports Beach along the shores of Africa’s largest water body in Entebbe.
Winners from the inaugural circuit (held on 16th February 2014), Atamba Onesmus and Mukoova Joan start as favorites but with the unpredictability of many emerging new talents and the sand itself, the conclusion is far from finish.
The duo from Ndejje University will face stiff competition from are Lillian Zawedde Lillian, Shallot Kikatushemeza Shallot , Gladys Nakijjoba, Mary Goretti Among, Joel Adupa, Bruno among others.
Atamba Onesmus hit 46 strokes in 12 gates; a stroke better than 2nd placed Entebbe Woodball Club’s Musisi El-Mohammed at the last outing.
In the ladies category, Mukoova Joan hit 44 strokes – 2 better than Nakijjoba Gladys (Entebbe Woodball Club) and 3 better than Nankabirwa Victoria (Ndejje University). Zawedde Lillian managed 4th position with 54 strokes in 12 gates.
