The first edition of the national ‘President’s Handball Cup’ has been scheduled to take place on 9th of June 2014 at Mother Kevin grounds in Seeta, Mukono district.
“The theme of this tournament is to spot good young talents, expose them and to develop the game nationwide.” Richardson Sheila Agonzibwa the Uganda Handball Federation (UHF) president who is also the tourney’s sponsor told Kawowo Sports.
The President’s Cup that will be held annually as an open tournament involving both men and women with only one category will see teams/clubs or schools be allowed to register more than one team, provided they pay Ugx 50,000 for each.
Price money, trophy and presentable awards await the best team and players of the event respectively.
