UPDF handball club beat Kifalu handball club 29-13 in one of the national handball premier league matches played last Saturday at Uganda Christian University (UCU) grounds in Mukono district.

Kafeero Nassur was the games highest scorer as the soldier netted seven goals before Chester Arwolonga and Saul Wakita respectively added six and seven goals to help the army side secure its first win of the season.

In the other games, Felix Mukunzi scored 13 times, James Othieno five, Patrick Ssemuwemba and Francis Mujuzi had four each when Ndejje niversity Scorpions beat Ever green 29-19.

Kakungulu Memorial School suffered their second loss of the season after they were humiliated 33-18 by resilient Arrows handball club.

In the day’s early kick off games, Police Lady Metro won Ndejje University Lady Scorpions 16-15, thanks to Abalu Esther and Akong Stella top who respectively scored 5 and 3 goals in Police’s victory.

In the other game, Nakamanya Jessica and Mirembe Irene scored six each to aid Nkumba University Tornadoes win Prison Lady Spears 26-21.

The league action resumes next weekend with plenty of games.
