3rd place: Real Galacticos Vs MUBS – 2 pm

Relegation decider: Zai Plaza Vs Richmond Strikers – Noon At Lido Beach, Entebbe Fee: 5,000/= (Free for students)

It will be more than the action on the sand to cheer about as the Pepsi national beach soccer league comes to a tense climax this Sunday at Lido beach resort in Entebbe.

Nkumba Select and Kira Young will play in the finals of the 2013/14 Pepsi national beach soccer league as Real Galacticos face MUBS for the classification third place match.

Another game that will open up the day will be between Zai Plaza and the Richmond Strikers to determine which side will be relegated to join Fisheries Training Institute (from Hurriken) and Kabalagala Rangers (Monsoon) who have been confirmed relegated.

Entertainment:

Off the sand football action, the cheering dance queens at the beach have always added to the adrenaline and thrills of the tourney for entire season. Musicians Bobi Wine and Diva, Fille will be performing to the crowd as the best DJ’s will be mixing the music c.d’s.

Fan games’ Challenges: Like the order has been all season round, fans at every beach soccer tourney have always stood to win various prizes at stake after passing several challenges posed. From Blind fold kicking, penalty kicks, juggling, goal to goal shooting, fans will still have a chance to win several Pepsi goodies ranging from Bandanas, sodas, caps to T-shirts.

St Lawrence University is the defending champion. In the ladies’ affair, She Cooperate were declared champions having beaten 3 other sides, Doves, Mutesa I and Ajax in the 4 team league.

At stake for the winning team are gold medals and a cash prize worthy Ug.shs 2,000,000. The runners up will scoop silver medals and Ug.shs 1,000,000 cash prize, all courtesy of the sponsors, Crown Beverages, under the brand of Pepsi.

Entrance is free to all students (with I.D’s) and just 5000/= for all adults. There will be entertainment from guest artists, the dancing cheer ladies and the finest spinning D.j’s.
