A win for either Nkumba Navy or UCU Doves this Wednesday will guarantee one of the University sides their first win in the Indoor in the NSSF Volleyball League this season.
Nkumba lost to KAVC in their last indoor outing but both sides have lost to holders Nemostars in Lugogo this term.
“We have had an up and down run in the league, The UCU game is one we should be able to win,” said Nkumba’s skipper Nepo Mohamed.
Nkumba lie in fourth place after playing six games, ahead because of a superior point ratio (1.042)compared to fifth ranked UCU’s (1.041), though the latter have played seven games on the ten team log.
“We are still trying to jell as a team, but we will approach the Nkumba game with one aim,and that’s to give our best,” said UCU’s power attacker Mark Okurut.
Another University side Ndejje Sharks lie third also on 12 points with a set ratio standing at 1.057
Nkumba didn’t have an all pleasant outing over the weekend losing 3-0 to KAVC on Saturday night though they had pulled off a convincing 3-0 win over Ndejje Sharks during the day.
On the other hand UCU lost 3-1 to four-time winners KAVC on the same day, but recovered to defeat Cobap 3-0 on Sunday.
