Uganda static in FIFA ranking

Uganda remains static in the 86^th position according to the latest Coca Cola FIFA rankings released on June 6.

Nevertheless, Uganda dropped by five points from the 395 it had in May to 390. This is attributed perhaps to the 2-1 loss away to Madagascar in the 2015 AFCON qualifiers despite winning the return leg 1-0 to progress to the next stage.

Uganda’s next opponents in the competition Equatorial Guinea is ranked 113, a whole 27 places before Uganda.

The Cranes likely opponents in Group E Ghana, Togo and Guinea are ranked 38, 89 and 51 respectively.

World Champions Spain maintain their number one spot followed by Germany whilst Brazil go up a place in 3^rd with Portugal 4^th and Argentina completing the top five.
