Blue star vs KCCA (KCCA did not turn up)
The 2014-15 Uganda Netball Top League kicked off over the weekend at Nambole stadium.
Eleven clubs registered to take part in this year’s elite championship amongst which include defending champion, National Insurance Co-operation (NIC), KCCA, UPDF, Police, Posta and Prisons.
The other teams are Uganda Christian University (UCU), Blue star, TLC team and duo new entrants Kawempe Workers team and Maroons.
In the weekend results, Posta beat debutant Kawempe Workers’ team 53-18 before UPDF humiliated Kamwokya based TLC 61-14 to go top of the table. Blue Star earned a walkover over KCCA who never showed up for their fixture.
Action resumes next Saturday at same venue with an official opening ceremony.
