Seychelles Vs Uganda In Victoria (4:30pm)

The Uganda national U-17 technical team has named right back, Andrew Okiring as the team captain.

“I am so grateful for the task bestowed upon me. I look forward to captaining well my teammates, and we pray for the best results”, the S.5 player who studies in Carlisle in the United States said.

The Cubs are preparing for the first leg of the 2015 African U-17 championships qualifier against Seychelles on Saturday in Victoria. The technical team and all his young teammates were delighted with the choice of the captain.

“Okiring has the leadership skills both on and off the playing turf, he commands authority with ease and he is exceptional in everything he executes”, Matia Lule, the team’s headcoach told Kawowo Sports.

Okiring, a descent fullback comfortable with short crisp passing and the long diagonal balls is son to former FUFA Normalization committee chairman, Patrick Isiagi.

Gor Mahia Academy player, Emmanuel Olinga is Vice Captain of the team that has been camping at Njeru Techincal center. The team departs for Seychelles on Thursday morning.
