5th Junior Woodball Championships:

The 5th edition of the national Junior Woodball championships has recieved a massive boost of Ug.shs 7M from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).
“We are so glad that Woodball as a growing sport in the country has recieved this much money from ICPAU. We shall surely account for every penny and put up a great tournament”, Paul Mark Kayongo remarked at the Uganda Woodball Federation offices after recieving the dummy cheque from ICPAU’s John Bosco Ntangaare.
Close to 246 participants from Primary and secondary schools are exepected to grace this championship, whose defending champions, St Francis Junior (Primary) and Ndejje Vocational (secondary) are some of the schools to have already expressed their intentions clear to fight for their crowns.
ICPAU official, John Bosco Ntangaare commended the Woodball Federation for the good work being done as he encouraged them to stay focused to see the game grow to greater heights.
“I must say, thank you Uganda Woodball Federation, we shall keep supporting you grow the game from the grass root stage”, he said.
This event is the climax of all the schools woodball competitions held in the year.
There were qualification events held in Mukono, Entebbe, Nakawa, Nsangi and Luwero earlier on.
