St Kizito Primary and Ndejje Day Vocational Schools had the loudest and last smiles as the 5th edition of the ICPAU sponsored Juniors’ woodball climaxed at St Marks Namagooma over the weekend.

St Kizito detroned last year’s winners St Francis to win the Primary schools overall catergory while Ndejje Day Vocational won the secondary affair for the 4th time running.

“The level of competition was awesome – thanks to the sponsors, ICPAU who increased on the sponsorship package and the massive turn up of participants”, John Baptist Kateregga, an administrator of Uganda Woodball Federation (UWbF) told Kawowo Sports.

National Juniors team:

The top individuals in each category were considered for team Uganda to the 6th World Cup Woodball Championship.

Emmanuel Gido of St Francis carded 27 strokes, jointly with Samuel Kironde (Victors Junior) and Jovan Kandaruru as the best performers in the primary boy’s catergory.

Motherwell’s Linda Namayanja scored 29 strokes as she topped the girls’ primary event.

In the Secondary individual excelling class, Umaru Ngobi of Airforce s.s, Entebbe scored of 26 strokes to topple the highly competitive catergory while Trinity Nabbingo’s Lillian Nakitende was best girl performer.
