Former Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) top seeded player, Charles Segawa will not play at this year’s Nile Special National finals after being eliminated in the Kampala region qualifiers by Adam Kiroywa over the weekend.

Seeded number 7 last year by PAU, Charles Segawa suffered the shocker at Lumas Pub on Saturday after being ejected at the quarter final stage.

“We I learnt Segawa is in my line of progression, I knew the best of my game was to be felt”, Kiryowa who beat Segawa 3 – 0 told Kawowo Sports after action at Lumas pub along Namirembe road.

At the other games played at California pub, Capital Pub player Robert Tumusiime emerged champion after beating Robert Musana in the finals.

William Mirembe was the other player to qualify at the center.

Action at Lumas and California pubs had followed the Friday qualifiers at the Shade pub along William street.

Focus now switches to the Western regional qualifiers in Rukungiri, Mbarara, Ibanda, Bushenyi and Kabale districts.

This coming Friday, there will be action at the Agaba Tavern in Kabale, Caves Pub (Rukungiri) and Palz Bar in Bushenyi.

The following day regional qualifiers will be held at the Panorama and Desert Island bars in Ibanda and Mbarara respectively.

The national finals will be held on the 6th September 2014 at Lugogo Indoor stadium.
