Uganda’s representatives at the 2014 Gothia Youth football tournament have so far performed expectationally well.

Kent Sports Academy making their maiden appearance at the global youth football fiesta have scored 12 goals in the opening two matches, conceding just one.

They beat JSG Heidanau/ Holvded from Germany 7 – 0 on Tuesday having opened their ruthless attach against Swedish side, Skogstorps with a 5 – 1 triumph.

The other side, Kampala Junior Team (KJT), have also won two out of two of the boys U-18 games played so far while it has been a tale of mixed results for the girls’ U-19 team having won , drawn and lost one apiece.

The two Uganda teams are in action again on Wedneday with the last group games.

Over 1666 youths from the different parts of the world are playing in the 2014 Gothia Cup which will climax on Saturday, 19th July with the grand finals and a colourful climax.
